This Bible study is perfect for both a group that is just getting to know one another and one that has been meeting long term. Each session is filled with scripture-based activities to help understand specific characteristics of God and how, by better understanding these attributes, our own thoughts and behaviors will change to reflect what God wants us to be like. Simple object lessons, along with scripture reading, reflection and life-application activities to carry out through the week (and being kept accountable by a partner!) all work together to make this Bible study a "must-have." God will continually remind you of what you talked about over and over!

Biblical study by a true man of God

The introduction shares the gripping story of Bill Bright, a great man of God, and his desire to disciple believers. Books 1 and 2 offer studies of the character of God in light of God's ultimate plan to have an intimate relationship with each of His children. Book 1 reveals that God is all powerful, ever present, holy, absolute truth, love and merciful. Book 2 continues by studying God as all knowing, sovereign, righteous, just, faithful and never changing. The books are designed to be a small group study as particpants get together and experience the lesson together each week. My favorite part of each lesson is the "God's Character in Context" margin note. This paragraph offers leaders ways to help participants solidify understanding by applying what they have learned about God's character that week. Great study for new believers and those who have been friends of God for many years.

Seeking to Know God Better?

I really didn't know much about Bill Bright, just the basics, until I read an article in REV! magazine recently. What a man of amazing faith! But what speaks more than his words are his actions, his life. This study is clarifying and challenging. If you take it seriously, you WILL know God better when you finish. What a great study for an individual, for a small group who wants to grow in the basics of their faith and relationship with God, or for a church wanting to really lay a strong foundation.
