This book investigates internal communication in a Protestant religious institution - the Second Baptist Church of Teresina (PI) - based on the creation and analysis of an electronic newsletter. The work proposes an electronic media model aimed at boosting the church's communication practices, covering everything from technical aspects to the discursive effects involved in the production of meanings. Based on French Discourse Analysis, the book analyzes how language acts in the construction of the institutional image, in the constitution of subjects and in the legitimization of practices in the religious space. As well as presenting the SIB Not cias project, the text critically reflects on the presence of the media in Brazilian evangelical churches, their discursive strategies and the modes of enunciation that operate in the symbolic organization of faith. Aimed at researchers, communicators, students of Literature and Journalism, the book offers an interdisciplinary and up-to-date reading of the links between discourse, media and religion.
