Discipleship

By: Edwards, Paul

In today's world, the idea of "do more, to be more" has permeated much of the Christian experience. Understanding the true essence of discipleship is more vital than ever. This book invites you on a journey to redefine discipleship within the context of the New Covenant. Rather than viewing it as a checklist of behaviors or a set of rules to follow, discipleship is about recognizing the profound "Christ connection" we have.

As believers, we are not just followers of Jesus; we are spiritually united with Him, which means our relationship is grounded in this intimate connection rather than external imitation. Discipleship is not about striving to become more like Jesus through our efforts but understanding our identity in Christ and allowing His life to express through us.

We are called to live as new creations, trusting in the finished work of Christ and relying on His Spirit to guide us. Our relationship with God is based on His grace, not performance, as we are already perfectly close to Him in Christ. This book will explore how discipleship is rooted in grace, emphasizing the freedom and joy that come from living in this divine relationship. Together, we will discover how to bear the fruit of the Spirit, not as an obligation, but as a beautiful outpouring of our union with Christ. Prepare to deepen your understanding and experience of discipleship as we delve into the richness of a life lived in communion with Him.
