Story of Indian immigrant Vijay who immigrates to US as a techy but rekindles his child like passion for playing cricket. He shares this cricketing journey with various other 'desis' who want to live their dream of being a cricketer for a few hours on the weekends. The book follows an inconsequential game of cricket in Oregon between 2 rivals Tigers and United. The result of the game has Vijay's retirement at stake. The book follows many characters that play in these immigrant leagues from middle aged out of shape 'uncles' to teen youths and sketches a broad canvas of south Asian cricket leagues mushrooming all over the US from 1990s to the present day.
