I'm a big M.C. Beaton fan and was excited to find an Agatha Raisin novel I hadn't read. Two pages in, I realized this flowery drivel could not possibly have been written by the talented Ms. Beaton. I checked the small print on the front cover and sure enough, it was written by a ghost writer named, R.W. Green. His clumsy attempt to mimic Beaton's style is an epic failure. In a word, Devil's Delight is unreadable except as a form of self-flagellation.
