Steve Bond, a former Detective Sergeant in Newcastle upon Tyne has returned to Newcastle after the completing his murder enquiries in Panama. He has decided to work overseas with NCA and is awaiting a posting, his partner Jessica returns to Panama to finalise the investigation. A serious incident changes all of his future plans and brings Steve to work in Spain with one of his colleagues Sarah. He meets an old army colleague who is in need of help, an introduction that brings about his involvement with the Organised Crime Groups in Southern Spain. Together with Sarah and officers from the Guardia Civil, Policia Nacional and local police they begin their investigation into the growing strength of the multi national crime groups in the area. The power and force of these groups is far reaching, they are now competing with each other for a greater share or dominance of the supply of controlled drugs which pass through the Southern ports of Spain. Cocaine from Latin America, hashish from Africa, heroin from the East as well as guns and iIlegal immigratation. Where there is money involved, greed and power are not far behind, a life can depend on a look you give. Torture, shootings, killings are a regular occurence, they fight for domination and protection of what they have. Sarah co-ordinates the intelligence with her Guardia colleagues, whilst Steve gets invited into the OCG arena. In an area of 300 days sunshine and beauty, below the surface it is rotten to the core. What comes into Spain is moved North and money flows back to the OCG's, a vicious cycle, which is so difficult to break. Andalucia is truly the Devil's Crossroads.
