Devil's Bargain-Code Breaker

If you liked the Da Vinci Code, you will love Devil's Bargain! If you hated the Da Vinci Code, you will love this book even more! This is the next book you might want to read. I think this is the type of book people wanted to read and are hungry for, but got the Da Vinci Code instead. Once you start reading Devil's Bargain, you can't put it down! He uses the same technique This Present Darkness novel of showing the seen world and in lilacs, action of the unseen world. You see angels and demons fighting it out for the souls of people on earth. I liked the unique idea of using the burial shroud of Jesus Christ as a portal for souls to move from one realm to another. He even gives us some new twists on the idea of Satan having a son on earth to become the Antichrist. This time he will do it by overtaking the Roman Catholic Church with body hopping demons. He has many rich, full, characters you grow to love and grow to hate, including Satan. The story revolves around Dave and Isabel. Their love goes on the rocks when they get to Colorado Springs. David at one point has to prove his love for her by dying. Now that is, "Till death due us part" and...beyond! And there are more plot twists with Satan and his followers than any soap opera. The first pages hook you when you discover there is a demon trying to eat the aircraft as it flies over the Atlantic. Just remember, it isn't over till the Fat Demon sings. The Da Vinci Code had some interesting characters and some plot twists but after you got the idea, it was pretty boring. Not to mention lead many people away from God because of the premise of Jesus being married to Mary. Devil's Bargain is full of great Bible verses and knowledge of church history...the correct one! He even addresses this heretical Codes premise in his book. The five part Bible study is one of the best I have ever used. I can't wait to see the movie version! The second book, Soul Wars, is based on true events of demon possession and is not only fascinating but a little terrifying. The author was attacked by Satan in a hospital room! In a dark, locked hospital dorm room at 3 o'clock in the morning, an invisible beast tried to kill this guy. I won't tell you what happened; you've got to read it for yourself. The two day exorcism of a church member in his home is beyond description. This biker type due had a vision of God and his deceased father. A born again experience I guess. But Satan was not going to let him go that easily. I have never seen or heard of anything like what happened to them at his house and to his family. The Soul Wars section also has Bible verses with "steps" to lead one to salvation. There is the best case for Christianity I have ever read. Writing from a Pastor's perspective was especially helpful. I plan to recommend this book to everyone I meet. My outlook on life has changed and faith in God increased because of this book, and your faith may too! Godsafe
