If I could have only one photography book this would be it.

This has been in my photography library for over 20 years. It is a very easy to read and understand book for the photographer who wants to take that next serious step toward becoming more than just a snapshooter. Nicely illustrated with lots of exanples making it easy to comprehend and follow. The emphasis is on composition and thinking creatively which makes all the difference in the world. A small part or two is out of date being written in the pre-digital age but the other 98% will never be obsolete. It's even good for the point and shoot owner who wants to improve using a few creative secrets. If I were going to teach a photography class this would be the text book.
