You have to love this book, the pages practically turn themselves. I especially love the chemistry between Maggie and Cord...Cord is another man who seems to hit me much as Colby Lane does, the all masculine, ex mercenary who will do whatever it takes to take down those who threaten his woman and/or the weak...I especially love the scenes of danger and serveillence......

Much To My Surprise This Book Was Great!

I expected a flimsy romance story but what I got was a tense book of mixed emotions, crossed signals, and mysterious pasts. I really enjoyed the romance part of this book. I read most of it in one night and only when my eyes started to cross could I bear to put it down. It was a fast read but there were secrets that the pair kept from eachother that I really wanted to find out the details of. It wasn't a book that made me think a lot, but it made me sigh because of the intense feelings that the couple could finally admit to. I highly recommend if you are a romantic at heart and like to see a happy ending for 2 people that have had it rough.

if you love romance

this is one or Palmer's best. If you are a fan "little one's" you will read this book with the hope and love that she often pulls from her readers. I cryed in parts and enjoyed the ride. See, a person who owns almost all Palmers works should know, she is great.

If you haven't read this book yet, you will thoroughly enjoy it. Ms Palmer knows how to keep her readers on the edge of their seat and turning the pages. It is a good book read.

I loved this book!!

I read the other reviews and considered them harsh. I read this book in on night! It has action, and passion( wow!) It also caught us up on some previous characters. I rate this up there with Lord of the Desert ( my other favorite)
