A bit uneven, but persuasively lays out the examinations of the Church's teachings on salvation from the rigorist school. While not all will subscribe to this private line of interpretation of the Church's infallible magisterium, this line of thinking must be addressed and engaged. There is some selective and glaring omission on adult baptism of desire that the council of Trent emphatically affirmed to make the narrowest hermeneutic case, but all in all this is an interesting account. Very readable and relevant, timeless in fact. Critics have put forth broader interpretations, and cited other contrasting views, however many of the arguments made here are, to use a droll metaphor, unslain dragons.
