Felicia Reed is a nationally certified American Sign Language Interpreter through the Registry of interpreters for the Deaf (RID) with over 15 years of experience across educational, religious, Video Relay Service (VRS), and community settings. She is committed to providing excellent interpreting and educational services, rooted in cultural competence, advocacy, and access. She also holds a 4.0+ in the Educational Interpreting Performance Assessment (EIPA), administered through Boys Town National Research Hospital, demonstrating competence in educational interpreting settings. Her professional experience spans K-12, postsecondary and faith-based community environments. A native of Nashville, Tennessee, Felicia has been interpreting professionally since 2008. Felicia's passion extends beyond interpretation; she is deeply committed to advocacy, access, and bridging communication gaps to ensure equity for all. This commitment led her to establish Equivalent Communications in 2021. Felicia holds an associate degree in American Sign Language interpreting from Nashville State Community College, a bachelor's degree in management of human Relations from Trevecca Nazarene University, and a Master of Arts in Teaching Special Education from Liberty University. To maintain excellence in her practice, Felicia regularly participates in workshops, trainings, and professional development opportunities, including completing the Improving Rural Interpreter Skills (IRIS) program.
