She just pissed me off AGAIN!!!

Sisters Veronica and Victoria thought they had a clear understanding of who their parents were. And while they never had the finer things in life, they understood that their mother was doing the best she could in America by herself, taking in laundry to support them and their younger brother, Ramon. Over time, they had gotten used to their father's infrequent visits from their native Columbia and just understood that that was how things were. However, even from Columbia their father ruled their family with an iron fist and demanded their respect at all time. And while he may not have physically have been present, they still feared not having his approval. No surprise that fear helped to spawn secrets. But soon, due to the unexpected and shocking death of their mother, skeletons start falling out of all kinds of closets. When a man none of them recognize shows up claiming to be their father, his apparent coldness throws them further into fear, confusion and resentment. Soon, something has to give and when it does, it is in ways none of them expect. I am a HUGE Tina McKinney fan. I love her style of writing, probably because it reminds me a lot of my own. That said, I have to say that Tina takes you there with this book. She had me reading this book when I was supposed to be doing other things, like sleeping. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. The plot moved briskly along, and as someone else said, just when I thought I knew at least how one part was going to come out, she would smack you upside the head with something else. And just when I thought I had a clear understanding of most of the character's motives, they would suddenly do a 180. HOWEVER, when I finished the book I was ready to fly to Atlanta and search Tina out so I could beat her behind for leaving me hanging like that!!! She's done it to me with darn near every book of hers and I know she must get tired of feeling her ears burn from me cursing her out. LOL And while I was dismayed and upset with how some things turned out, I wanted to kiss her for the brilliant twists. Well done, Tina and if you don't do the sequel soon, I'M going to be leading the revolt to beat on your door until you get it done!

Anxious

As always, Tina did not let me down. Book was fantastic from beginning to end. (Well, I won't say end because Tina left me hanging). Overall it was something different and interesting. I love to read a book where I don't have to skip pages just to get to the good stuff. Tina, you still my girl but you better hurry with part II. You have not disappointed me yet, so don't start now. Tina McKinney fans, don't wait get your copy now and you won't be disappointed.

When I thought it couldn't get any better

I must say that Deep Deception is by far this year's best book to read. I found myself looking for more pages at the end because i wasn't ready to put it down. I hope to see a sequel or a spin off. Miss Tina, I love you and hope for great things in your future. The characters in the book were on point. In a million years would I have guessed how this book would turn out. I see why I didn't get to preview this one. Keep up the good work and I'm proud to call you my friend.

How long do I have to wait for part 2???????

See being that I am a Tina Mckinney fan, when I bought this book I didn't read it. Because I know that reading Tina's books I can't put them down and I knew when I read Deep Deception Tina McKinney was going to do something in this book to make me mad. I am mad because I have got to wait til part 2 comes out. And trust me if there isn't one it should be. The story is based on lies, and deceit in one family who are trying to hold on to traditions pushed by their parents. Tina tells her story of one family torn by loyalty to one another only to keep secrets of their own. I always feel like I am in the book. The title is true to it's name. You won't be disappointed she has woven her spell and it's a book you can't put down.

Excellent Hot Read

What can I say about this fantastic novel. It was a premier read. Ms. Mckinney brings the drama and brings it hard. She knows what she is doing. The plot in the book was completely original and the characters simply jumped off the pages and dragged you into the drama. I just couldn't turn the pages the fast enough. Just when i thought i knew what was going on i was thrown through loop after loop. I could go on and on about this book, but check it out for yourself. You will not be disappointed at all. I read it in two day, but you may not take as long with this page turner. Enjoy.
