Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL): Revision development and combination with fuzzy set theory and application (MCDM)

The DEMATEL method originated from the Geneva Research Centre of the Battelle Memorial Institute to look for the fragmented and antagonistic phenomena of world societies for integrated solutions. The theoretical development of this method is based on graph theory, DEMATEL enables us to draw the relationship map to better understand the interrelations among sub-criteria of a criterion, and to visualise the complicated causal relationship of sub-systems by means of a causal graph (Yang and Tzeng, 2011). In recent years, DEMATEL has been successfully applied to different areas, such as cost of quality (CoQ) model development, and brand marketing to create brand value. This method allows us to better understand for identifying of practical solutions, and accepted as one of the practical tools to solve the cause and effect relationship among the evaluation criteria.in this paper the DEMATEL is explaned developped (Revised-DEMATEL) and combined withe fuzzy set theory to have a new method named Fuzzy Revised-DEMATEL in order to deal with fuzzeness in evaluation the vehicle fleet management
