The title of the book is dear dad, love laurie and the author is Susan Beth Pfeffer.The main charcter is laurie.Who is turning 11 and hates being 11.She has four friends and are a pain to her.In the story she gets jealous of her friend. The plot of the story is that her friend kris is in the gifted and talented program and she isn't.She thinks that she suhold be in the program becauseshe knows her left from right and Kris doesn't.She gets mad and that she isn't so then she does a report on the founder of the school she goes to. The founder of the school is Dale Baker. The time and place is Missouri and in August 28th, The theme is a fiction story. I did like this story because she writes funny letters to her father because her parents are divoriced.She also can relate to me because she has a sleepover in the story witch is a disaster. Ihave also had a crazy sleepover. So this book can relate to my life.

I did like the story i liked it because she writes letters to her father because her mom and dad are divorced and the letters are really funnie. She also can relate to a lot of 11 year old girls like getting in fights with her parents and having sleepovers and getting thought things that girls go thought like when at sleepovers all her friends were screaming and fighting. I know we have all had a sleepover like that.
