In the story she gets jealous of her friend. The plot is that her friend Kris is in the gifted and talented program and she isn't.She thinks that she should be in because she knows her left and rights and kris doesn't.So she is mad she is not in it and then she does a report on the founder of the school she goes to. The founder of the school was Dale Baker. The time and place is Missouri and in August 28th. The theme is a fiction story. I did like the story i liked it because she writes letters to her father because her mom and dad are divorced and the letters are really funnie. She also can relate to a lot of 11 year old girls like getting in fights with her parents and having sleepovers and getting thought things that girls go thought like when at sleepovers all her friends were screaming and fighting. I know we have all had a sleepover like that.
