Odd, quirky and uneven but mostly good

The stories I liked best here are the three that take place in what I think of as the "Under the Red Sun" universe -- not sure what Peek calls it, if anything, but they're excellent alternate and/or future Earth stories. The three dead Americans stories (written about Johnny Cash, Octavia E. Butler and John Wayne) are less successful but still worth reading. And I have to give it to Peek that some of his titles are as good as a story on their own, for instance: There is Something So Quiet and Empty Inside of You That It Must Be Precious.
