From racism and poverty to corruption and addiction, the heroes confront America's darkest truths in this groundbreaking saga. Hard Traveling Heroes redefined what superhero comics could be--and still resonates today.DC Finest: Hard Traveling Heroes collects the legendary run from Green Lantern #76-82, The Flash #191, and World's Finest Comics #201. Written by Dennis O'Neil with art by Neal Adams, this collection follows Green Lantern and Green Arrow as they journey across the United States, confronting real-world issues and challenging their own beliefs. With stories that tackled racism, environmental destruction, and drug addiction, this volume is a landmark in comic book history and a powerful example of socially conscious storytelling.
Dennis O'Neils & Neal Adams' run on Green Lantern and Green Arrow is a staple of comics, and I was really excited to finally get my hands on this release, only to find the Green Arrow storyline is only withen the last third of the book, and not even collected here in full, most of the book despite the credits on the cover is written by Gardner Fox or John Broome (no offense to them). This is just not what I thought I was buying. The book itself arrived in perfect condition and appears to all around be a good quality collection for Green Lantern from this time period, I had just had the pretense this would feature the whole storyline mentioned by the title and shown on the cover.
