Australian adventure & love story!

I really enjoyed this book. Here is a short review from the back of the book: Tamsen Tallant, most beautiful of the fabled McLeod sisters, is alone in the Australian outback. Alone with a ranch to run, two rebellious teenage nieces to care for, and Opal Station's new head stockman to reckon with-a man whove very look holds a challenge. For Arthur Melvin intends to manage more than the stock while Tamsen's husband Dan is away. He plans also to tend the women: sixteen year old Melissa, who dreams of love, and Tamsen herself, who cannot escape her past nor envision a future with Dan Talant. But Tamsen is prepared for danger. She has seen the face of the Devil-and he looks like a man.

This is the book series I was named for. Tamsen, the brave and loveable yet hardheaded character and star of the Aola Vandergriff Daughters series. Tamsen is only one of the stars of the Daughters series. You get to know all the characters well. Her sisters: Emmeline and Arabella. Her lover: Daniel Tallant, adventurer and just too darn sexy for his own good! Her friends: Dusty, the affectionate tipsy Brit, Nell, the dirtymouthed cantina friend, and others along the way. I love this series simply for the character development. I've never felt more in love with Dan, more friendly with Nell, or more outraged at Arab's stupidity. You follow the girls through history, which makes the novel all the more fascinating! Here, you watch the girls in Australia, dealing with heartbreak and misunderstandings, but end up in Hollywood during the movie age in the final book. You'll grow to love these characters, love their natures, and wholeheartedly enjoy this series. I recommend this novel with 5 stars-- and if you've never read it, start today and fall in love with Tamsen and Dan, and all their crazy adventures!

This is the fourth book in the series about three sisters: Emmeline, Tamsen and Arabella. The sisters are all living in Australia with their families, Em in Melbourne, Tamsen and Arab on the Opal Station. The only one of the next generation of the McLeod family that is on her own is Martha, who is also living in Australia with her husband and kids. Although Em's other kids are mentioned, they aren't the center of attention in this book like Missy and Ramona are. The book deals with the problems of neglected children. Arab's favorite child is Luka, the strange one, and the other two girls are on the outskirts of her love. It isn't until a tragedy happens that she realizes that she's been neglecting them. This book is filled with kidnapping, murder, marriage, death of a family member, and romance. But through all the tradegies that this family goes through, they become stronger and continue to live, even when the situations seem hopless. When you've finished your stay in Australia you can continue the journey with this family to England. You never know what will happen next.
