Frozen out by the Chicago company and it's thugs, Nate Brimley, and the dryland farmers were faced with finding another method to market their crops. The U.P. could no longer load their wheat as the Company had purchased the farmer's siding. A defunct scenic railroad's abandoned tracks ran right by their farms. A bridge on the railroad was condemned, a part of the tracks was already torn up, and the railroad's engine hadn't run for several years. Could this be a possible solution?
