A relatively quick read.

Dark Joy by Christine Feehan was a relatively quick read. I would have liked to see more depth to the story as well as to Sarika's and Tomas's relationship. I felt like something was missing.

The Carpathian battle continues.

Once more Ms. Feehan takes us back into the Carpathian world and the world of the Jaguar shifters. It was refreshing to visit characters we already knew and to meet a new character. This book also gives up another glimpse into how the Carpathian world is changing and enough teasers about events that my biggest complaint when I finished is I don't know when the next book is going to be released. While technically the book did not end on a cliff hanger, there were enough hints that it leaves you wanting to know not only what is going to happen next but know more about what happened in the past. Please Ms. Feehan, don't make up wait too long for the next book. If you have been drawn into the Carpathian world than you will definitely want to read this next chapter of a story that is still being written. Warning, this is not really a standalone book, so I highly recommend reading the other books in the series before you read this one. That being said, I highly recommend immersing yourself in the Carpathian world. It will give you a whole new view of the vampire genre.
