After finding a paperback copy in a local used bookstore, I fell in love all over again. Unlike a lot of romance novels, the characters are instantly believable and likable. You feel for Anna and Sloan. They're trapped in a situation not of their own making.And yet, they cannot even confide in each other as they find themselves on trial for the murder of Anna's husband. They fell in love so quickly, they never really got to know each other.One if the things I loved most about this book was that Sloan and Anna don't fall all over each other 15 pages in... Ms. Canfield builds the story gradually, until even I was saying "Kiss her, you dummy!"
