A blood-chilling tale of a centuries-old doctor hiding in New Orleans...and searching for a means to cure his vampirism. This description may be from another edition of this product.
The two books I have finished (Night Blood and Dark Blood) are well written and give a different slant on the vampire (or as the books have it vampyre) origins and evolution. I would recommend reading the books in sequence. The author updates the reader if the books are read out of sequence, but this takes away from the story. The recurring setting is Ben Taub Hospital In Houston, where Dr Matt Carter, an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine watches the examination of a vampire's victim brought in by his police friend "Shooter Kowalski." Sound like many other vampire novels? Read On! Both Matt & Shooter become romantically involved. It becomes evident that the killer is in the medical profession. Still familiar? Ok, War & Peace it Ain'tbut it has some nice twists. The vampire is even looking for a cure!Book two, Dark Blood shifts to New Orleans where the original Vampire has fled. Enter a vampire who is badder than bad. Of course Matt Carter gets involved. Very entertaining books. Good Read at least so far.
