When tragedy robs Jessica Roberts of both the love of her life and her means of financial support, she forms a single-minded resolve: to develop financial and emotional independence, while never allowing herself to love so completely again. She encounters a dangerous distraction from her goals, however, in handsome David Bennington and his three lively children. Since his wife left him for a career in law, David has struggled to raise his children while simultaneously running his fledgling company. He has no interest in a romantic relationship, especially with another high-powered career woman, even one as beguiling as Jessica Roberts. But David's children crave both their father's strength and Jessica's gentle caring--so lacking in their lives until now. Can Jessica and David resolve their doubts, find love, and establish the nurturing environment these children so desperately need?
I enjoyed Mrs. Taylor's novel very much. It was an easy to read easy going romance tale. The story was believeable. Mrs. Taylor wrote from the heart. She must be a woman who understands romance and love. She writes in such an easy to read style. The book can be easily read in a short time. I don't want to give away the story, because I like surprise endings. I'll just say I love romances that end up happily ever after.
