After millennia in hiding, Mina Tepes, the princess of the ancient covenant and ruler of all vampires, wants change. Using the vast wealth of the Tepes line, she has paid off the entire gross national debt of Japan and in so doing, gained the authority to create a "special district" off the coast of Japan that is to become the future haven for vampires from all over the world! Now, on the eve of the landmark press conference announcing the existence of vampires to the world, terrorists and rival factions are plotting to assassinate Mina Tepes.
Wasn't sure what to expect with this series. A childlike vampire can always be awkward but I found I like this one. A tad confusing from time to time when our heroine (or is it anti heroine?) switches from acting like a child to the full adult that she really is. Her hero is interesting if a bit dense. With lots of issues this little tale should keep a reader happy for a while.
Very Actiony

A lot of stuff is going on in this volume. Mina and Akira's trust in each other was put to the test in the preceding volume. Now we get involved in the internal politics of the world of vampires. And the natural order. There are the strong and in charge, and the weak little pawns. Half nakedness is obviously a popular fashion statement among vampires. And for those who are curious, some of the weird fetish manga generas are defined in the translator's notes at the end. And a tiny sample of it is implied in the story, But we don't actually go there. Street fights, Bombings, A Lingerie monster brawl, Ex girlfriends and current girlfriends hanging together. Total chaos!!
different but good

I ordered this series on a whim and have been very happy so far. I have volumns 1,2, & 3. I find the plot well writen and enjoy the art work.
Dance in the Vampire Bund

The story setting is unique and interesting. Volume 3 also featured a kind of 'forbidden love' story that was really nice. Some people say this is a "horror" series, but I disagree. I think it gets that label only because vampires are prominent characters. I found it more of a standard intrique and action-type scenario.
