Impossible Deal

Whenever I read Mark A. Gabriel's books I ask myself why their contents are not reported in the media. Why is it that we can go into the best known "quality" bookshops/stores (here in Britain at least) and never see his kind of books? I do, however, find in those same bookshops/stores plenty of publications which are apologetics for Islam. They make every kind of excuse under the sun to defend that religion, despite what the history of Islam tells us. These books are written by Moslems and non-Moslems. (N.B. I prefer to use the English term "Moslem" than the Arabic one "Muslim" as I write in English, not Arabic. No other religious group--Catholic, Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist, Confucian, & c.,--expects other nations to use the language of its faith; e.g., Latin, Hebrew, Sanskrit, Chinese for the noun naming or adjective describing it. Why should Moslems?) As a person who frequently travels throughout Britain, I find wherever I go that many people in this land are perplexed by this defence of Islam that seeps through our country like a London fog on which no-one can close their doors or windows. Islam is a religion which will tolerate no rivals. One only needs to have a cursory glance at the contents of the Koran to see that Islam is by no stretch of the imagination a religion of peace. Yet within days after the massacre of 9-11 we had President Bush and Prime Minister Blair telling us that Islam was a religion of peace. We were even told that "Islam" means "Peace"--when it actually means "subjection"; the Islamic word for "peace" is "Salaam." Either the above politicians and their adherents were arguing from ignorance, showing themselves unfit for the offices they held, or they were blatantly lying. If they latter, then they were more unfit to hold the offices of President and Prime Minister. It is astonishing that any person holding a high political office could be so ignorant about something which is blatantly obvious to the average man in the street: Islam is a violent and cruel religion and is merciless to all infidels--an infidel being any non-Moslem. One does not have to even read the Koran or the history of Islam to know that. Very recent history shouts it loud and clear. What other religious or political "philosophy" has ever used children as human shields in war or to clear minefields by making children walk across them? What other "philosophy" has used children to become suicide bombers? Not the Japanese, who used suicide pilots in WW II, nor even the vile Nazis. Islam stands alone in using children in those despicable ways. And UNICEF and the UN continue to be as silent as the grave while these atrocities are perpetrated against these children. Their respective silence is a green light to Hamas and Hezbollah to continue their atrocities against the minds, characters, souls and physical lives of these innocents. Mark A. Gabriel's book "Culture Clash" (subtitled, "Islam's War on the West") concurs with what I say above. And it goes much

WOW

This is confusing for me. Some people I know who are moslim are so normal, yet they belong to this ugliness. I am sorry they are in danger as well as we. This man's story is truly amazing to me as he has so much courage.

Islam Explained

"Culture Clash" was written by an Egyptian Muslim who, although being a graduate and teacher at Islam's premier imam-training school (al-Azhar University in Cairo) in the 1970s, and upon becoming disillusioned with Islam, converted to Christianity in 1993 C.E. From his thorough understanding of Islam, the author has written a truly heart-felt book in explaining how Islam has developed the thought-process of Muslims in opposing democracy, individual liberty and all other religions. As he appropriately titled his book, it is indeed a "Culture Clash" between Islam and Western civilization. He notes as much in his preface: Islam "is fighting Western culture because the culture of the West and the culture of Islam as it was practiced by Muhammad cannot coexist." The chapters in this book are: The Foundation of Islamic Culture (How Muhammad created Islamic culture; The past rules the present.); The Nature of Islamic Culture (Prayer and washing, fasting and pilgrimage, daily life, stereotypes about non-Muslims, the wall between Muslims and non-Muslims, personality trails that cripple Muslim society); Women in Islamic Culture (Muhammad's stereotypes about women, Islamic law about marriage, women's rights under Islam, loss of freedom for women); The Clash Between Islamic Culture and American Law (seven ways Islamic law clashes with western law, what Islam teaches about democracy, establishing democracy in Iraq and the middle east, separating religion and politics); and the Future of the Culture Clash (the war of ideas). For those who may be unfamiliar with Islam, the author reviews the religious foundations of Islam to help the reader understand the "why" as to how Islam so much conflicts with individual liberty. The author bolsters his contentions by providing specific citations from the Muslim's holy book: the Quran. For those who are already familiar with the author's other books, "Culture Clash" is a new expansion of his revelations about how Muhammad (PBUH) birthed Islamofascism.

Culture Clash

An excellent education. This book explained the mysteries of Islam in the simplist terms. I now have a much better understanding of the US conflict with the "radical" Muslims, their history, and the Christian differences.

Terrorist Info Revealing

This book was excellent as were his other books. It is very interesting to hear from someone who understands Islam and can explain some of the thinking, while at the same time frightening.
