Thanks

I needed it for a class so it isn't my favorite book, but it was delivered promptly and was exactly what it was reviewed as.

Will leave you unsettled

Richard Paul has joined the growing list of educators who have had enough of the failures of our schools. In 'Crirical Thinking" Paul attacks the process that inexorably takes solid reform ideas in Education and waters them down to meaningless levels by the time they reach the classroom. A central focus for Paul's ire concerns the California Direct Writing Assessment, which was organized to promote critical thinking, and then fails on every level (including the educators and graders involved) to do anything of the kind. The answer that will save our schools makes sense but will please no one in the realm of education - demand more from teachers, and eliminate those who can not function on the highest levels. While this will probably never happen in our lifetimes, it is satisfying to see solutions to the dearth of real education in our schools finally brought to light.
