A visual delight for young children

I purchased this as a gift for my friends' child, and they love it. As a biologist, I'm always interested in books with nature themes, and this one does double duty by introducing colors and interesting animals at the same time.

Durable and exciting

This is entertaining even for adults. The text is a little dull, but the pop-ups are extraordinary! We use the text just for naming the creatures. Our favorite pop-up is a little blue eel -- that creature has come out of its cave *hundreds* of times. We've had the book for a year and the pop-ups are still good -- very durable. (I have two active little boys)
