Brings back old memories

I really enjoyed this book so much that I stayed up until 3AM because I couldn't put it down. Has some great funny parts and is well written. It was like being back in school dealing with the 'girls' all over again. I would have rated it 5 stars but the ending left me wanting just a little bit more. Overall it is quite enjoyable.

Crazy in Love

Crazy in Love was a sweet book, but it didn't match up to the other books by this author. This is a Christian author but from this book you would not be able to tell. This story focuses more on good morals then what God has to say about teen issues such as sex. Truth be told I was a little disappointed in this story line. I expected a lot more from this author, especially since she wrote Maggie's story, which is an amazing story about the life of Jesus. This is still a sweet story wit a nice ending but it lacked the conviction that her other stories have had.

Can four minutes really change your life? When Mary Jane leaves a party for four minutes with a boy to grab more soda, rumors start flying out of control. The boy in question is the school hottie, and boyfriend to Star, a very popular girl, not to mention Mary Jane's friend. She can't believe that people are talking about her and acting as though something major happened during that short time. Now Star's bent on revenge and boys are phoning Mary Jane's house day and night asking for special privileges. As for the boy in question, Jackson admits wanting to date Mary Jane, but isn't sure if he can end it with Star. Does Mary Jane have the gumption to straighten out the rumors? How far will girls go for the right boy and is the cost worth it in the end? Devour this book along with A Bad Boy Can Be Good for a Girl by Tanya Lee Stone and kick girl power up a notch. CRAZY IN LOVE is fun and fluffy

Plain Jane is every parent's favorite: a smart, sensible and brutally honest rule-follower who always thinks of others before herself. Given the choice, she'd take broccoli over ice cream because she could definitely stand to lose a few pounds. M.J., on the other hand, is adventurous, sexy and always has just the right witty comeback on hand. When looking in the mirror, she sees someone hot and dateable (especially by cutie Jackson House). Plain Jane and M.J. don't often agree. But no matter what they do or think, they're stuck with each other because they both live in Mary Jane Ettermeyer's head. They bicker over what to wear, who to sit with at lunch, and, of course, Jackson. Unfortunately, Jackson is dating queen mean bee Star Simons. Star has a certain level of paranoia when it comes to her relationship with Jackson. So you can imagine the rumors that fly when Jackson and Mary Jane leave a study party together, even if it's only for a four-minute run to the gas station for some pop. Mary Jane soon finds out that not only is Star on a mission to keep her as far away from Jackson as possible, but that Star will stop at nothing to make her life miserable. Coke is (intentionally) spilled, rumors are spread and Mary Jane's phone won't stop ringing with calls from boys who hear she performs quite well on dates. This would be the perfect time for Mary Jane to ask for advice from her best friend, but Alicia, who graduated early, is miles away at Southern Illinois University. In spite of Star's crazy stalkerish behavior, Jackson starts hanging out with Mary Jane; soon they're officially dating. They decide to spend the Friday after Thanksgiving together, but as the big day approaches, Mary Jane worries that Jackson is in their relationship for sex, which she isn't ready for. Her friends all have ideas for what Mary Jane should do --- but how much can she trust someone who just broke up with her boyfriend and another who's been with her boyfriend forever? To do it, or not to do it? This is an eternal question, one that Mary Jane tries to answer with humor and honesty. Her constantly fighting "angel vs. devil" voices are something all of us have, even if we haven't named them. CRAZY IN LOVE is fun and fluffy, and if you can't get enough of books with pink sparkly covers, then you won't be disappointed. --- Reviewed by Carlie Webber

Outrageously funny & so true!

I loved this book from the first line--laugh-out-loud funny. And the story manages to have depth in characters and plot, without giving up an inch of wit and humor. You'll identify with Mary Jane, love her, agonize with her, and tell all your friends about her.
