'Country Conquered' tracks the epic voyage of a young man from Oxford. In July 2020, during the Coronavirus pandemic, Sasha Bond cycled solo from Land's End to John o' Groats. The book focuses on the people he met and the settlements, moors, and lochs he visited. It's quite quirky and descriptive, and contains a few unusual words from the excellent 'A Word A Day'. There are also snippets of other European languages trickled in. It is self-illustrated.
