Dancing Through Paris

By Allie Goodbun

Renowned dancer and social media sensation Allie Goodbun unveils the glittering world of Moulin Rouge and the magic of a showgirl's life in Paris in this stunning debut.

The Moulin Rouge has been a source of fascination and artistic inspiration for over 135 years, but there has never been a memoir written from behind its curtains--until now.

In this backstage pass to one of Paris's most beloved institutions, Allie Goodbun takes readers along the cobblestone streets of Montmartre and into the dazzling heart of the emblematic Moulin Rouge. Her own journey begins in a tiny town in Ontario, where she started dancing at the age of five. From international dance competitions to a role on a popular TV series, it wasn't until she turned twenty-two that her biggest dreams were realized: She landed a spot at the iconic Moulin Rouge.

Since then, Allie has performed at the Opening Ceremony of the 2024 Olympics, taught Hoda and Savannah the French Cancan on The Today Show, launched a thriving apparel brand, fallen in love, and developed a community of millions who follow her adventures in Paris and beyond.

Dancing Through Paris traces Allie's path to Paris and offers a deep dive into the stories of the celebrated cabaret. With personal anecdotes, portraits of some of the famous dancers who came before her, and illuminating behind-the-scenes access, Allie's memoir reveals the true essence of the life of a showgirl.

Straight from the heart of Paris, Dancing Through Paris captures the sparkle of the Moulin Rouge and tells the inspiring tale of a dancer who dared to dream.
