Cornbread and Charcoal

The following is a fictional story titled "Cornbread and Charcoal." A tale of two females who, against all odds, meet under unusual circumstances and develop a friendship that no one but the two women understood. Harriet escaped her father's abuse by stealing his expensive prize horse.

Charcoal, who was born and raised with Plains Indians, after her father, Axe, and Mizzy, her mother, escaped from Slavery in 1828 and were rescued by original Native Americans. Who welcome them into their community to live. It was in this Plains Indian community that Axe and Mizzy gave birth to their daughter, whom they named Charcerya. However, the leader of the Plains Indians pronounced it as Charcoal. Thus, the story is called.
