This book is an adventure in cooking creativity, which has kept Louise and I young and active mentally. We have not allowed or stopped thinking like we did when we were younger We feel that creativity makes you ageless
I wanted to call this cookbook Louise's Cooking with Personality because my wife's personality is woven throughout this cookbook, and she now uses her natural teaching ability to improve my cooking skills. We cook together, and I am her sous chef
Cooking brings out numerous remembrances for all of us. Let's face it, who wouldn't or hasn't conjured up fond memories when gathering around food featuring personalized culinary delights that may have even stood the test of time, handed down over the years or generations? This is also a time of never-ending bonding, sharing, and at times, even some heartaches. Living in Pennsylvania for over forty (40) years, I have found that the Amish do not take photos. They feel that memories are more important, and I can see some validity in that philosophy.
As you will see, the recipes are an accumulation of tasty delights from several sources and areas of the country as a result of our work-related numerous moves. We have yet to find an area that we did not find positive influences and some great people.
It's not only A Matter of Taste, but it is total creativity. We hope you will enjoy the recipes and priceless little commentaries presented in this cookbook.
Louise, I love you
David
