Excellent series of books

Reviewed by William E. Cooper for Reader Views (6/06) I have read and reviewed most of this series of excellent books; you can be sure I will be completing the set. As a Leadership instructor and the author of my own book, "Leading Beyond Tradition," I seek out books about leadership and how to win. The interviews compiled by David Wright and captured in this series of books speaks volumes to Mr. Wright's ability to not only select the right people to write about, but the right things to ask, then articulate them in a really eloquent way. In Volume 6, Mr. Wright has done it yet again. I have to say the same things I said about his previous volumes. They are extremely well done. These books should be mandatory reading in any educational institution. These are the stories of people, many from poor backgrounds, who worked hard, focused on the right things, and achieved profound outcomes. Their stories are well worth the investment of your time. The conversations are also well worth the investment into the series of books. This is how to get it done, right, and with high standards. Many of our colleges and universities, as well as some of corporate America could use the advice and examples of these fine people. Some are well known; others are not. They have one thing in common. They are winners - they do so with hard work, ethics and integrity, and dignity. While I speak highly of Mr. Wright's work, it would be unforgivable not to acknowledge all these people in these books who actually did it. Once again, Mr. Wright - well done.
