An Introduction to Esalen Massage from one of its elders

Although this book does not use the name Esalen Massage in its title, it is in fact the only book ever published which shows and describes Esalen Massage in detail. The beautiful photographs reveal most of the Esalen style's core techniques and practices and provide a superb introduction for a beginner or a review for those who've taken an Esalen class. Great pictures, inspiring and intelligent text, and logical organization make this an outstanding book that every Esalen Massage practitioner should own. This is also an excellent book for romantic partners who want to explore their relationship through the experience of gentle and therapeutic massage. Peggy Horan eloquently explains that massage is not just about techniques and can be an expression of compassion and a way to deepen awareness and connection with others. This book is about Peggy's own massage style, but since she is considered one of the most respected elders of Esalen Massage it can certainly also be seen as the quintessential Esalen Massage book.
