Connect The Bloody Dots: Genesis - The Blueprint

Most of us meet the Bible in pieces. A story here, a verse there - a sermon on Sunday, a psalm at a funeral, a promise on a card. We love it, or we want to, but we carry a quiet suspicion that we are only ever seeing fragments and that someone who really knew their way around could show us how it all fits.

This book is written on a single conviction: the Bible is not sixty-six unrelated books. It is one story - one unfolding rescue, told by dozens of hands across roughly fifteen centuries, pointing the whole way to one person.

And the whole thing is drafted in its first book.

Genesis is the blueprint

Almost every idea the rest of Scripture spends sixty-five books developing is laid down in Genesis: sacrifice and covering, altar and covenant, priesthood and sacred space, a promised seed, a substitute caught in a thicket, a beloved son betrayed by his brothers and raised to a throne to save the world. Learn to read those opening chapters properly and the whole Bible begins to open. Skip them and every later connection is a thread you cannot trace back.

So Book One covers Genesis - and only Genesis. That is deliberate. We begin at the beginning, and we do not hurry.

How every chapter works

Eighteen chapters walk from the first page of Scripture to the last of Genesis, and each one runs the same engine:

- The Story - where we are in the big narrative
- The Lost Context - the background a first reader had and we don't, the piece that unlocks the passage
- Christ in It - how this points forward to Jesus

Then Dots Connected, a short recap of the links just made, and See It Yourself, a few passages to trace on your own - because the goal is not that you finish the book impressed. It is that you close it able to do this without me.

Honest about what it can prove

Books like this earn a bad reputation by selling a clever hunch as a certainty. This one labels every claim for exactly what it is: what the text plainly says, what is well-established, and what is a reasonable reading worth considering but never sold as proof. Where sincere Christians disagree on secondary matters, both cases are laid out. Where the book has convictions - a Creator who made the heavens and the earth exactly as Genesis says, six literal days, a young creation, a global flood - they are stated plainly and defended, not smuggled in.

Scripture is quoted from the 1599 Geneva Bible, with spelling modernized and a plain-English gloss wherever the older English runs dense.

Dots That Aren't There gives you the method for testing any hidden-truth claim you meet - three baskets, three questions, and the one nobody asks: where did this come from, and when? Then sixteen worked examples, sourced and dated: the world before the world; "Jesus is just a copy of the old myths"; the curse that was never on Ham; the flat earth and the solid dome; "Moses didn't write Genesis"; what Sodom's sin actually was; whether Genesis endorses slavery; the two-gods claim - and one that tests the book's own side of the aisle rather than only its critics.

No group, denomination, or teacher is ever named. Documents are cited; communities are not indicted.

The churchgoer who is tired of fragments and wants the whole picture. The believer who has read Genesis a dozen times and suspects there is more in it. And the honest skeptic, who is welcome to check the work - and will find the receipts laid out for exactly that purpose.
