I like this book as it has everythin about the software development life cycle.This is a good book for Beginners through to Experts as it can be used as a reference guide as well.My advice is buy it.

Pretty Good Coverage of Beginning Programming Design

This book is an easy to read manual. The author does a wonderful job of explaining the basic concepts and lays them out in a way that is easy for people who have had no computer experience to understand.
