Is this wise?

While I admire many other books in the series (particularly the volume on satanic love-making techniques) I was a little concerned by the wisdom of this volume. Should we really be encouraging 'complete idiots' to try their hand at sticking needles into the nervous systems of others in the name of medicine? Still, it's not quite as worrrying as the announcement of the forthcoming 'The Complete Idiot's Guide to Performing Gender-Realignment Surgery'.

This book is very informative whether you are just considering acupuncture or have tried it and want to know more about it.

An outstanding overview with lots of practical information

This book is just what it should be - a good overview, an excellent survey, with useful information. Information you wouldn't likely see in any one book. If you're looking for a single book to help you get started - this is a good one for such a purpose. The depth of material is reasonable, considering that it covers so much and is an overview/survey.

Relief from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome!

What a fascinating and enjoyable read with a humorous twist! I have been suffering with the pain of carpal tunnel syndrome and thought that my only relief could come from surgery. Reading this book gave me the information I needed and led me to seek acupuncture treatment as an alternative to surgery. I am happy to say "it works!" Mr. Sollars book is also loaded with some great self help techniques. This is a must read for anyone who is interested in alternative health care.

Excellent

This book has ALOT of information in an easy to understand format. I don't normally like the books in the Complete Idiot's series, but I found this book answered all of my questions that I had regarding acupuncture therapy. It's a great read and an excellent reference guide.
