This is the moving story of the Czechoslovakian philosopher, Jan Amos Komensky, better known under the Latin name Comenius (1592-1670), as told by his daughter Elizabeth.

Pastor for a small Christian community, neither Catholic nor Protestant, Comenius spent his life in exile, travelling across Poland, Bohemia and Hungary, founding schools wherever possible. His goal? To teach every boy and girl all they need to know to responsibly exercise their personal and collective freedom.
