Going with the flow or in today's terms "following the wave" has always been a human norm. Most people act and do things based on the environment around them. We wear Jordan's, well because he is Michael Jordan! We wear designer because it is "designer" and drive foreign cars for the main fact that the car is "foreign". In a social media society where everyone wants to have the most likes, it takes a brave person to go against the norm. That is exactly what the 3rd and 27th ranked high school basketball players in the country decided to do. Instead of going to schools like Duke, North Carolina, or Kentucky, they both decided to take their talents to a HBCU, Prairie View A&M University. James and Malik became to be two trailblazers by making a decision that most sports analyst in the country would call a bad decision. Despite the adversity, they facedboth on and off the court, with their talent and motivation, along with great mentorship, they willprove every sports analyst in the entire country wrong. Creating a new wave for other Black Athletes to follow.
