Loved this book!!!

You have to read Frontier Woman to fully understand Comanche Woman. It is part of a series and is, in fact, my favorite book in the series. To understand Bay and Long Quiet's personalities you have to first meet them in the first book. It tells how Jerrett Creed's father kidnapped Jerrett and Long Quiet from the Comanche camp and sent them to school in Boston where the hero first lays eyes on the beutiful Bayleigh Stewart. It also explains Bay's relationship with her father and sisters. Some reviewers said the characters were 2 dimensional but didn't read the first book. That is like tuning into a TV show but not watching the first half of the season. Of course they are lost. If you are thinking of reading this book I defiantly recommend reading Frontier Woman first and Texas Woman is also great to round out the series. This book was my favorite of the three books hands down and Long Quiet was my favorite of the three heroes. I really enjoyed reading these books and especially loved this one. They will go in my bookshelf for me to revisit in the future.

What a GREAT BOOK!

I read the negative reviews on Comanche Woman so I was a little apprehensive but I read Frontier Woman so I decided to go for it. I did not feel at all like some of the other reviewers. I thought it was a wonderful love story. Long Quiet is a strong yet tender man who is torn between two worlds. Being half comanche he has stayed true to that side of his heritage. But Bay Stewart changes all that. She has always been tender hearted and has now been in captivity for 3 year but was bought by a kind comanche named Many Horses. Lone Quiet ends up taking her as his bride and because of many threats against her life he decides that she won't be safe in even his own village. So he takes her to her home and decides that she should forget him and that he will return to his village after the business he has to take care of. But...will he really be able to stay in his village or will he return to try to claim Bay as his wife and live in the white world. Through lots of ups and downs it does have a happy ending and there are lots of tender moments that I really enjoyed. So take a chance. I'm so glad I did. For me this is a keeper. I am looking forward to reading Texas Woman.

Love and Destiny

I loved this book. It's true love conquering all. That old, wonderful idea that certain people belong together, that they are destined to be together. I found it very uplifting and fun as I did "Anything, My Love", and "Savage Thunder."

Very good book

I am not one to like Westerns but I love Joan Johnston so gave it a try. I was immediately captivated by the pull of Long Quiet and his instinctual need for Bay. I laughed and cried my way through the book and enjoyed it immensely. I definitely will be looking for the other stories about Cricket and Sloan, Bay's sisters.
