This book only introduces the topic of algebra, and it hardly covers any trig--but it is a great book for anyone that needs an introduction to these subjects--it explains every step from addition, subtraction, long division, beginning algebra, geometry, etc.. I use it to tutor bedridden middle schoolers in my district--as you can see, this is not college algebra. In no way would this book get anybody ready for the calculus. If it were only titled correctly (Arithmatic and Introductory Algebra?) it would earn five stars.
