There are times in life when we consider existential problems more carefully for a variety of reasons. Most frequently, this results from our need to quench our curiosity or our want to end our misery.
Then we typically understand that there is an inner world as well as the outward world that we are not sufficiently familiar with.
We also come to understand that our inner world actually has a far greater impact on how we feel and perceive the events in our lives. We understand that the knowledge we get in school, our moral education, and the information we have access to will best prepare us for life outside of school but not with the inside, for when we confront it, we are faced with an abyss. This is contradictory since, save our physical body, the only thing we are given at birth is our inner world, which we ought to understand better than everything else.
