Very thorough!

I studied off and on for a bit before my exam, but really read the book thoroughly for around a week beforehand. With my previous knowledge and the book I did great on the exam! I only recall one question on the exam that wasn't covered in the book and it was about Maslow's hierarchy that I was already aware of. I really think it was a very good review. I've used CLEP books previously and haven't found them to be quite this good! I highly recommend this as a study guide. I used the book only and got a great grade!

I Knew Nothing at First and Passed with Flying Colors

I signed up for this CLEP Exam and I know nothing of the content. I had good experiences with REA on CLEPs before, so I was willing to take the chance. I studied this book cover to cover for a week (highlighting important parts like theorists and their specific theories, plus taking notes as I read) and I took the 3 practice tests over and over until I had consistent prefect scores. I got a 71 (= to an A) on my exam. Not bad for a person who never took a related college course and had limited knowledge of the topic. I highly recommend this book, most of the Exam mirrors content in this book.

Great review book. I read the book over a 3 day period and took the sample tests provided. Then I took CLEP exam and passed easily.

Very good guide...

for the CLEP exam. Covers a lot of subject matter in the field of psychology overall (would make a decent intro to Psych study guide!) This was the only book I used to pass after only 3 weeks of study--well worth the price for the time and tuition $$ I saved!!

Read, Memorize, and Read Some More.I bought this book back in Nov. 2001.I took the test Dec. 2001.A required score of 50 is necessary to pass; I scored 57.I read the information at the beginning of the book.Then memorized all the questions and answers, as well as the answer explanation section. I didn't use other texts for this test.Also, you now have the luxury of answering all the questions without being penalized for incorrect answers.Good luck.
