Simple Writing on Complex Subject

This book is packed full of useful information, though the author takes some creative liberties. It's written in a style that could be understood by an eighth grader, which is not necessarily bad. It brought alive some parts of history that are little studied by anyone else. In my research on Cleopatra Selene, it was invaluable, and I'm only sorry that Cleopatra Selene's brothers disappear from history the way they do.Selene was a fascinating woman in her own right--another strong woman from the line of Ptolomy.
