A treasure of a book

This is a large book with a myriad of illustrations and accounts from the period. Some of the illustrations are reproductions of color painting; others are b & w photos. Between the illustrations and articles, this book gives a wonderful account of the American Civil War. The Civil War would be a great addition to a collection on the period, or would be a wonderful beginning to studying this four-year conflict.
