For the Lord RPG, Christians In Space!!! could be the first ever Christian evangelical sci-fi role-playing game system! It is rules-light and easy to get started. Character creation is the allocation of trait bonuses to Prowess, Awareness, Savvy, Spirit, Intellect & Social, then picking out weapons and gear and allotting them to 4 Light, 3 Medium and 2 Heavy, then adding a couple of skill bonuses! That's pretty much it. Unless you are of the clergy and want to get some Blessings like Heal, Protect and Bless. All of these are based off using a d20 + Trait + skill bonus system to beat a default of 12 or more based on what the game master decides or rolls for difficulty. The sci-fi version is not limited to Earthbound hard scifi but expands on epic genres to swashbuckling and planet exploration whilst encountering 'alien' creatures. NOTE!!! All alien life forms are actually genetically modified DNA supplanted on terraformed planets! So walrus men to space ogres to space bugs to dreadbots can be encountered! The goal of this game is to explore the galaxy and find settlements, to discover each areas culture, what they need, what dangers they suffer from and to give them the Gospel! Will they be receptive, will they be antagonistic, are they part of the widespread slavery, are they slaves to the Empire or are they of the Remnants and defiant of oppression? Also included is spaceship battles done in a unique way where the characters, vehicles and ships are all done on the same battle scale! Each ship can be displayed as their own battle map with missionaries running around shooting, repairing damage parts and flying the thing, whilst fighting other ships and/or being boarded! To role-play using miniatures, at storytellingron.com one can get easy to buy budget-friendly digital tokens for virtual table tops (VTTs) or downloadable printable PDFs of characters and modular map pieces for ship interiors, space stations, abandoned mines, arcology settlements, cave systems, etc... Due to the rules-light way of using miniatures any kind can be used, including doodling it out!
