Finally: A book that demystifies mysticism and contemplative prayer.

For those who seek to know the way to mysticism, do not consult the great masters until you read the writings of this humble Carmelite hermit. Fr. McNamara should be required reading to all Catholics, this is because he makes the solid case, as Scripture does too, that the only way to live a truly Christian vocation is in totaly union with the Trinity through with and in Christ, through contemplative prayer. Fr. McNamara dispells the myths about contemplative prayer and zeros in on the fact that, far from zoning out, contemplative prayer is a complete concentration in the moment.
