"Mercy kissed me, despite the fact that I was a blasphemer, a persecutor of believers, and a scorner of what proved to be true." I was inexperienced and had no idea what I was doing. "I was flooded with incredible grace, like a river overflowing its banks, until I was overflowing with faith and love for Jesus, the Anointed One. "(1 Timothy 1:13-14).

Satan has an ancient trick up his sleeve that has worked on countless Christians. "You cannot have a good future because of bad decisions you made in the past," it says. It is undeniably necessary to strive to make wise decisions in life (we avoid many difficulties by doing things God's way), But there is always hope after a mistake.

We've all had regrets. Everyone wishes they could go back in time and do things differently. Many people are haunted by this words, "If only... "If only I had continued my education." If only I wasn't in that relationship. If only I hadn't married that person. If only I hadn't begun using drugs. If only I hadn't put myself into debt. If only I hadn't let my rage get the better of me. If I had only served God when I was younger. If only I hadn't made that decision."

Before he was saved, I'm sure the Apostle Paul had many regrets about persecuting and killing Christians. Others suffered greatly as a result of his activities. Despite this, he was able to overcome his shame and live his life fully. We can, too.

We must adopt the fundamental concept that our past does not have to dictate our future...
