finally a book my son WANTED to read

I have bought many books over the years that my son (10-yrs old now) just was not interested in. None of them could hold his interest and excite him about reading to the end. After reading the first book written by this author, Rescue: A Police Story, which we got through a school Scholastic order, we had always wanted to find the sequel. He loves it and will read it over and over. The non-fiction and action aspects are perfect for holding his attention. I even looked forward to reading it! I wish she had written some other books about other occupations or more police drama books. Excellent.

Perfect for the third grader who loved firetrucks as a kid!

Calling all boys who were obsessed with fire trucks, police and rescues as young kids. This book, and RESCUE by the same author, will satisfy the thirst for excitement and the ability to handle more vocabulary and procedure. Written at a third grade level, it can be read to kids as young a first grade. (It may be hard for kids under 5 to follow the story and understand the police jargon.)
