A great read. I couldn't put this book down. I cried, cried, laughed, cried, and smiled with Addie. I am drawn to Addie for so many reasons, her strength, honesty, practicality, and sass. It is refreshing and satisfying that others out there share my exact same views on faith and God - thank you to the author. So many messages within Addie's letters with which I relate, not just on the church bits. Outstanding all the way around.
Four Stars from me is high praise indeed

This debut novel by K. H. Allen is full of both sense and sensitivity. I appreciate the balanced way she deals with the volcanic forces of grief, anger, laughter, irritation, love, and downright disbelief that assault Addie, the newly-widowed southern small-town woman whose notorious but secret past is inadvertently exposed. Isn't that the way it always is? We think we've hidden our secrets, and then an unexpected death, and an equally-unexpected chance for a new life, bring up the crud. Allen manages to imbue all her characters with life--a difficult assignment when one is writing a novel that is nothing but emails to a dead husband. I'm a writer myself (of murder mysteries), and I know how challenging it is to develop complete and believable characters in print. CHANGE OF ADDRESS is wholly satisfying. I recommend it.
A great story - quick and entertaining!

Change of Address is a story about a woman putting her life back together after the sudden loss of her husband. What makes this story unique is two-fold - first, that the story unfolds through emails sent to the widow's deceased husband and second, that the author has a gift of humor and storytelling that makes the book a pleasure to read. This book made me laugh and cry and feel all the emotions in between. If you are looking to try out a new author and want a good story, read this book!
A wonderful debut novel!
