Certainty
What if you could go back and see for yourself?
Jacob Wells has spent his life studying history-and challenging the certainty of those who claim to know the truth.
A respected historian, Jacob believes in evidence, careful inquiry, and the willingness to change one's mind when the facts demand it. Extraordinary claims deserve extraordinary scrutiny. Experience is not proof. And belief, however sincere, cannot replace evidence.
Then he meets Elias, a retired physicist who has spent twelve years investigating an anomaly that defies conventional explanation.
Elias doesn't ask Jacob to believe him. He asks him to examine the evidence.
What begins as an investigation into an impossible scientific phenomenon leads Jacob into the ancient world, where history is no longer confined to documents, artifacts, and competing interpretations. For the first time, he can experience the past for himself.
But what happens when the experience is real-and its meaning remains uncertain?
As Jacob confronts the limits of his own knowledge, he must wrestle with questions that reach beyond history and science into the territory of faith, belief, and the nature of truth itself.
Because seeing something for yourself doesn't necessarily mean you can prove it to someone else.
And sometimes, the most profound discoveries don't give us certainty. They change the way we understand everything that came before.
Certainty is a thought-provoking novel about historical discovery, scientific mystery, skepticism, faith, and the transformative power of an experience that challenges everything we thought we knew.
What would you do if the evidence led you somewhere you never expected to go?
